I am an adult student studying Master in Human Rights in Australia. Having seen these videos they have really given me lots of disappointment and thought. Being a Malaysian, I am deeply concerned with the social situations in the country and more so, I am absolutely disappointed. I don’t remember my beloved homecountry being so rigid, unreasonable and inhumane. People talk about the concept of human rights but i’m doubtful if any of them understand what it really implies.
Couple of comments i picked up out of the above videos that really troubled me includes the below:
“you’re ONLY a student”, “eh who are you, who are you”, etc
As though the inherited social status or identity is the most important thing here, poor people, you are missing the point. Even if I answered the question “eh who are you” by saying, “I’m the homeless person living just down the street”, I, as a human being, still deserve the fullest respect for my human rights as any other elites in the society do.
I believe what these videos show is blatant examples of violation of BASIC human rights, an abuse of power by the authority, and a seemingly democratic nation masked with an authoritarian agenda.

I’ve seen this video few times, long time ago. I ashamed for their behavior, treating the group of student from DEMA that way.
Yes, its terrible and they were really rude and should have not done that way.
But please make it clear, don’t see this as a racism. As a malay, I don’t even like how the student representative council (MPP) group act to the DEMAs.
This is totally against the human rights. They should speak with menace.
This movie is absolutely on pro-MPP vs non-pro-MPP. Not all malays on the MPP side. Some do have problems with ‘em also. And I feel to write this as to avoid any racism issue, for good.Thank you.
I’m very appalled to be watching the second video. What happened? What triggered the orange t-shirt boy to be screaming on top of his lungs at the poor white-shirt boy??why was he doing that?didn’t any officers come and intervene?this is terrible.it looks like racism to me. The big group is showing rudeness and violence, they don’t prove to be of good students who deserve a place in the university.this video should be circulated more widely so that respective authorities can make a conclusion out of the whole terrible incident.Seek JUSTICE.
