《采蜜记》全国入学巡回讲座

马来西亚青年与学生民主运动（学运）将于六月举办第4届全国入学巡回讲座。主要目的是想让准大专生能够了解校园状，实际地规划未来大专生涯，并拥有一个不留白的大学生活。届时欢迎所有的准大专生及在籍的高中生踊跃出席，肯定让新生们获益良多。

这次的入学巡回讲座主题被定为《采蜜记》，那是形容所有的大专生都像蜜蜂一样想找到属于自己的那一点甜。而大专生涯就像寻找花蜜的过程，或许坎坷，或许波折，可是最后还是会找到属于自己那一朵拥有花蜜的花朵。此讲座希望让大学新鲜人认清自己的定位及社会责任，活出精彩的大专生涯。

此讲座的内容丰富，学运将邀请各大专的毕业生及在籍的活跃大专生与即将踏入大学门槛的准大专生分享在大专生涯里的点点滴滴。精彩的大学生涯经验分享，恰当的入学启示，生动的入学讲座，有趣的小游戏等活动，势必让所有的出席者都满载而归。

《采蜜记》全国入学巡回讲座将于6月21日至24日举办，讲座的地点包括吉隆坡，怡保，北海，双溪大年，马六甲，芙蓉，昔加末及关丹。届时希望有兴趣出席者密切留意各大媒体报道的讲座会的行程，并前来出席。

最后，学运呼吁所有准大专生出席此次的入学讲座，以避免错过精彩的大学生涯。

学运谴责警方袖手旁观，默许私会党徒暴力对待皇冠城居民

马来西亚青年与学生民主运动（学运）强烈谴责警方不但没有维持治安，还抱着隔岸观火的举动，默许私会党徒在皇冠城围殴聚集在蕉赖皇冠镇已被封堵的出口的居民，导致20多人被打伤，其中三人伤势严重。警方此举不但有偏帮大道公司之嫌，也破坏了人民对警方的信赖。雪州总警长必需为此事道歉及采取纪律处分相关警员。

这起事件纷纷扰扰了那么久，封堵大道地段属联邦政府或州政府的争议不断，很多人关注的是该地段是否属大道公司，这决定了大道公司或联邦政府是否有权利封路。然而如果我们站在皇冠城居民及社区发展的角度来看，就算该路段属于大道公司所有，难道它就有权利封锁道路，逼使居民缴付两个收费站使用大道，典当居民的权益以换取更多的利益吗？

Stop the Arbitrary Arrests!

Malaysia Youth and Students Democratic Movement (DEMA) strongly condemned the detention of 7 individuals by the Penang Police. They were detained during anti-Internal Security Act demonstration in Penang on 11/5/2008 without any valid reasons.

Yesterday gathering ( 11/5/2008 ) is part of a nationwide protest that is being held in Penang, Butterworth, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baru, Ipoh and Seremban. The purpose of the gathering is to urge the government to release all the ISA detainees and also provide proper medical treatment to Hindraf legal adviser P. Uthayakumar who is a diabetic.

DEMA reaffirm that the freedom of peaceful assembly is stated in Malaysia Constitution under Article 10 (1) (a) and (b) which guarantee the fundamental human rights where every citizen has the right to freedom of speech and expression and right to assemble peaceably. We are concerned with the arrests by the police as unprofessional and power abuse since the organizers of the gathering have agreed to cooperate with the police, furthermore no untoward incidents were reported. The jobs of the police are to maintain the public order during the gathering; however it has become a tool by the authority to oppress the people rights to voice up their expressions and peaceful gathering.

DEMA strongly urge the police to release all the 7 individuals without any conditions and immediately drop all the charges against them. DEMA demand the government to uphold the Federal Constitution and Universal Declaration of Human Rights and stop any further assault on freedom of assembly. We further urge the government to respect and protect human rights as Malaysia is one of the members in United Nations Human Rights Council.

DEMA Appeal That New Minister of High Education Do Not Cheat Students and People Again

Minister of High Education, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said that he plans to table the amendments in parliament by the end of this year. Malaysia Youth and Student Democratic Movement (DEMA) appeals that new Minister of High Education don’t cheat student and people again.

If Minister of High Education sincerely would like to amend UUCA, Ministry of Higher Education should be more transparent in making and announcing any decision about the amendments, so that the public can access to the information, and let public involve in giving ideas and participating in the amendment of UUCA.

【党团文告／马来西亚青年与学生民主运动】高等教育部长莫哈末卡立表示，高教部将将于今年杪修订《1971年 大专法令》及修改会影响高教政策的法律，马来西亚青年与学生民主运动（学运）呼吁莫哈末卡立别再欺骗学生及社会人士，因为如果他有诚意修改《大专法令》， 就应公开让公众及学生参与辩论，实现真正的集思广益及体现参与式民主的精神，并明确列出整个大蓝图，让公众及人民监督高教部的效率。

历史告诉我们，每位新上任的教育部／高教部长都扬言修改《大专法令》，包括马哈迪、阿都拉巴达威及安华依布拉欣。

Bantah AUKU: memo untuk menteri

Solidariti Mahasiswa Malaysia (SMM) akan menghantar memorandum khusus kepada Menteri Pengajian Tinggi, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin berhubung cadangan kerajaan untuk meminda Akta Universiti dan Kolej Universiti (AUKU) bagi memberi lebih kebebasan kepada mahasiswa dan universiti.

SMM merupakan gabungan badan-badan pelajar: Gerakan Demokratik Belia dan Pelajar Malaysia (Dema), Gabungan Mahasiswa Islam Se-Malaysia (Gamis), Persatuan untuk Belia Baru Universiti Malaya (Umany), Jawatankuasa Kebajikan Mahasiswa Mahasiswi (JKMI), Kelab Rakan Islah Malaysia (Karisma), Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Pelajar Islam Malaysia (PKPIM), Gabungan Anak Muda dan Pelajar (GAMP) dan Food Not Bomb (FNB).

Dalam satu kenyataan hari ini, SMM berkata, sebagai wadah seluruh mahasiswa pelbagai bangsa dan agama di negara ini, ia akan menyerahkan memorandum tersebut kepada Khaled dalam masa yang terdekat.

废大专法停止贩卖高等教育 学运：高教部应有魄力诚意

【党团文告／学运】马来西亚青年与学生民主运动（学运）、工大华裔生理事会（工华）、博大华文学会（博华）、理大华文学会（理华）及北大华文学会（北华）联合吁请新任高教部长莫哈末卡立（Mohd Khaled Nordin）及副部长何国忠和依德利斯哈伦（Idris Haron）拿出魄力及诚意解决大专生问题，包括废除剥夺及侵犯大专生权利的《大专法令》和停止贩卖高等教育。

我们强调，《1971年 大专法令》限制了大专生的言论自由、结社自由、校园自主性、学术自由、学生自治、行政效率、校园选举等。学运和各族学生团体组成的马来西亚大专生团结阵线 曾多番致函请求前任高教部长慕斯达化会面，以便提呈该阵线对修改《大专法令》的建议，但直到慕斯达化卸任，都不曾与大专生团结阵线会面。

学运全力支持前学运领袖竞选人民代议士，为民请愿，为国贡献

马来西亚青年与学生民主运动（学运）即将迈入第10个年头，这段期间学运培育无数的青年才俊。这些在校园时期就充满正义感的学兄学姐们在离开了学运以后并没有放弃他们的理想与斗争。他们不畏强权，继续在不同的平台上为了理想，为人权，为民主而奋斗。

 

今年的大选一共有五位学兄学姐出来竞选人民代议士，为民请愿，为国贡献。其中两位是学运创办人之一，他们分别是王敬文律师（竞选槟城武吉丁雅州议席），沈志勤硕士（竞选槟城班台惹雅州议席），前学运国内事务处秘书郑立慷（竞选霹雳迪遮州议席），前学运国内事务处秘书林秀凌（竞选马六甲马接州议席）及前学运财政颜贝倪（竞选雪兰莪万绕州议席）。

 

学运呼吁选民能给这些在学生时代就积极参与社会运动，与人民站在一线的青年才俊一个机会，让这些敢讲、敢争取、敢于理想的年轻人进入州议会，为人民捍卫应有的权利，并让国阵垄断的州议会有新的声音。同时，学运也呼吁选民在来届大选投反对党一票，以壮大反对党阵线，以监督及制衡国阵。
